An affordable and effective way to extract and filter beeswax. Wax cappings and old comb are placed in the stainless steel tray and left in the melter, out in the hot sun. The sun will then work to melt the wax that drips into the stainless steel pan, creating beautiful cakes of filtered wax. This product works best with nonplastic frames or foundations due to potential heat warping.
If using to melt cappings remaining after extracting, first rinse off as much honey as possible, to ensure a clean finished product.
