Streamlines your honey filtering and bottling process and made of stainless steel.
Helps you easily filter and bottle your honey without having to change containers.
The 5 gallon pail holds up to 60 lbs. of honey.
You can extract honey into another bucket and then pour it through the double sieve into the 60 lb. tank to let it settle overnight. Or, you can filter directly from the extractor and save yourself some time and energy. Either way, once the honey is filtered and settled, lift the 60 lb. tank up onto a table or workbench and bottle your honey.
This combo includes a pre-drilled 60 lb. tank and lid with 1 1/4" honey gate and a stainless double sieve.
This is my first year as a beekeeper. And I have been slowly collecting needed tools. I did not really expect to harvest any honey during my first year, but because of some wanky comb I had to remove some frames before they became a serious problem. After trying to process those few frames of comb with the tools available in my Wife's kitchen I realized I'd need some different tools. So I ordered the 5-gal honey tank with gate and stainless steel sieve from PerfectBee. There was a misunderstanding during shipping and I received a plastic sieve instead of the stainless steel one ordered. But after an email to the folk at PerfectBee the problem was resolved and I now have the original stainless steel sieve.
The 5-gal food grade honey tank will have more than adequate capacity for my 4 colony of bees next Spring and the stainless steel sieve is well made and should last a lifetime. The honey tank comes with a lid and a honey gate and is already drilled for mounting the gate.
Loved the bucket, great product. The only thing I would modify would be some way for the user to balance a frame on the strainers. And I lied, I have one more suggestion. Make the system as wide as a frame. Sometimes honey would drip off to the side. But overall I love it.
