BeeMax’s line of polystyrene hive equipment provides exceptional insulation. With an impressive R value of 6.5, these hive bodies can help keep your colonies warm through the extreme cold of winter and aid in keeping bees cool in the hot summer months too.
This hive body ships unassembled, but assembly requires very little effort. Instructions are included, though the quick & easy assembly requires less than a minute per hive body.
Standard deep wooden or plastic frames can be used with this hive body. Plastic frame rests are included.
Note: BeeMax hive bodies should be painted with exterior latex paint to help protect the polystyrene from the sun’s UV rays and extend the life of the hive.
