Premium Langstroth Hive

A showcase Langstroth hive, built in Portland, OR from sustainable woods and the most environmentally-friendly hive on the market today.

A modern and updated look to the classic, time-proven Langstroth look and feel with a simple, clean aesthetic.

The wood used is FSC-certified and locally-sourced Western Red Cedar or Sugar Pine. Offers the weather resistance of a traditional outer cover, without using environmentally-taxing metals like aluminum.

Made by one of the only suppliers to cut and build hives and boxes 100% in-house – so no guesswork about build quality.

All boxes feature custom rabbeted joints, adding strength while significantly reducing waste, compared to finger or comb joints, by eliminating the extra wood dust and needless offcuts other joints create.

You can use your old old mediums or deeps with this hive . The designs fits with any Langstroth hive components you already have.

This hive has a large capacity for honey, with beginner-friendly usability.

  • Conforms to standard Langstroth sizes and therefore components are interchangeable with other industry Langstroth hives.
  • 10-Frame: 16” wide by 19 7/8” long by 9 5/8” deep

  • Unique Wedge Roof
  • Two deep or three medium boxes with hand-cut inset frame rests
  • Quilt Box
  • Solid bottom board
  • Stainless steel screws for assembly
  • Assembly instructions

Frames / foundation not included (available here).

Great Hive

I wish I could select 4.5 stars as the only issue I had with this hive kit was one side panel that was not straight and darkly stained compared to the rest. Overall both attractive and well made.

Beautiful hive

I love this hive. I got the Western Red Cedar version and it looks so nice in my garden. I also love the benefits of cedar (especially being lighter - good for my back when a box is full of honey!). I did apply a coat of Tung Oil, which brought out a really deep color that looks special.
